Almost half of SME's don't fully understand the GDPR

Feb 04, 2020

Only 54% of SME businesses in the UK have more than a moderate understanding of GDPR, compared with 88% of SME’s with more than 10 employees.

Given that the ICO’s £275k fine issued in December 2019 was against an SME who thought they were compliant with the GDPR, this is a worrying statistic.

The report that gave us these figures is due to be released week commencing 23rd February 2020.
